The Saco River Recreational Council (SRRC) provides and manages several parking and access points along the Saco River to ensure a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Most access points from North Conway to Hiram, Maine, charge a fee for parking and for putting in or taking out watercraft. These fees are vital to the SRRC’s mission, as they directly fund important river initiatives such as clean-up efforts, education, law enforcement, and logistics. A daily parking fee of $20 per car is charged at SRRC-managed facilities, while larger vehicles or trailers are charged $25. Additionally, there is a separate access fee of $5 per person for those not parking a vehicle. You can pay the SRRC for parking at three main facilities: Swan’s Falls, Canal Bridge, and the Brownfield Bridge. A valid parking pass is required for any vehicle left in these lots. Passes can be obtained at the Swan’s Falls Campground store.
