Wear your PFD!
Some paddling or river experience recommended.
1:1 ratio of strong adult swimmer to weaker swimmer or younger person.
Use caution approaching Swans Falls. Take out river-right well above the dam.
Watch for and avoid debris and obstacles especially trees and limbs in the current, (strainers). It is crucial to steer well clear of any obstacles in the river as you approach them.
There is a debris field in the river around Mile Marker 16 near Brownfield. Use extra caution in the area as there are obstacles & fallen tress in the current, (strainers).
Trips can take much longer during normal summer water levels especially in tubes. Plan accordingly.
